Macbeth at Staatsoper unter den Linden

On May 23, 26, and 30, the incomparable Plácido Domingo performs the title role in Verdi's Macbeth at Staatsoper unter den Linden. One of Verdi's darkest and most starkly disturbing works, Macbeth's monumental choral scenes, expressive arias and duets, and deep psychology shattered the operatic conventions of its time.

Domingo sings alongside soprano Ekaterina Semenchuk as Lady Macbeth and bass René Pape as Banquo in Harry Kupfer’s production.

Esteemed conductor Daniel Barenboim leads the Staatskapelle Berlin for all three performances.
